Have a Special Experience at Koyasan
The World Heritage “Sacred Sites and Pilgrimage Routes of the Kii Mountain Range” will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2024. We have prepared a special experience plan for Koyasan, a sacred place that forms the core of this area.
Visiting World Heritage Sites from the Sky
Ride on a specially chartered helicopter and tour sacred sites from above, including Koyasan, the Kumano Sanzan, Kumano River, and Nachi Falls, which are part of the Sacred Sites and Pilgrimage Routes in the Kii Mountains.
Danjo Garan on Koyasan viewed from above. You can experience its graceful and majestic atmosphere on a different scale from what you see on the ground. It is also a valuable experience where you can see the location of Koyasan, which is located in the basin surrounded by mountains.
Experience Ajikan
Ajikan is a meditation method unique to Shingon Esoteric Buddhism. By meditating while looking at the Sanskrit character “a”, you can realize that “the world and you are one.”
Furemaizen
“Furemaizen” is a ritual performed by the monks of the temples of Koyasan when they serve meals. The highlight is the beautiful movement of carrying the table. There is also an explanation by a monk about each movement.
Koyasan Shukubo “Renkejo-in” with VIP rooms
Shukubo is a temple that has accommodations for monks and worshipers. Rengejo-in, a shukubo on Koyasan that is associated with the Sanada family of Sengoku warlords, has a VIP room. The VIP room is equipped with a verandah overlooking the garden, classical Japanese paintings on sliding doors, and a large bath and bed. You can enjoy a luxurious time in the majestic atmosphere.
We can also arrange experience options tailored to your needs, such as Goma prayers, Japanese cultural experiences such as tea ceremonies and flower arranging. In addition, we have accommodations where you can spend a relaxing time, such as suite rooms at Sanso Amanosato.
